FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BACK BAY MISSION WILL CONTINUE REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS
Mississippi Gulf Coast– Back Bay Mission is aware that we are filling a need for our vulnerable population to stay abreast of the facts and recommendations of COVD-19. The guest we serve needs to have a place to shower, wash their hands, receive hygiene kits, and supplemental food. Back Bay Mission also is the mailing address for many homeless in our community and they need access to their mail on a regular basis.
That’s why Back Bay Mission will stay open the regular hours amidst the COVID-19 outbreak as long as it is possible. Safety is something we take seriously at Back Bay Mission. We are listening to the recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as we strive to protect our guests, participants, and staff members. The people we serve and the staff are abreast of the facts about COVID-19 and Back Bay Mission has implemented several courses of action to follow to help keep them safe such as frequent handwashing, sanitizing, wiping down of all utilized items. We are disinfecting our facilities as appropriate. And as always, we are encouraging our staff to take any signs of illness seriously. If they are not feeling well, we ask them to not report to work and seek medical attention as needed.
Back Bay Mission will continue to serve those in our community who need our help and adhere to the recommendations of the CDC and to keep abreast of this expanding health crisis.
