The following is from a press release written by the National Association of Professional Women Gulf Coast Local Chapter
June is National Hunger Awareness Month where the focus on the issue of hunger is brought to the frontline to increase awareness of this steady streaming issue that affects every city, state and community in some form. On June 23, 2015, the Gulf Coast Chapter will be on location at the Back Bay Mission to help collect non-perishable items for donation to the food pantry. Come out and help fight hunger by bringing items and/or volunteering! We extend a big thank you in advance to all who come to be a part of this campaign and the Back Bay Mission for helping us as we partner with them to help our community.
Schools, businesses and organizations interested in participating can contact the local chapter via email at or contact event coordinator, Glenda Woodard at (228) 861-1236 or Chapter President, Andrea Riley at 228 918-9533.
