As summer wanes and fall weather sets in, millions of students are about to go back to school. Millions of these students aren’t ready.
For young people from low-income families, this can be an especially challenging time as the cost for school supplies can easily exceed $50 even for a kindergartener. And it only gets higher from there.
And that can mean hard choices for parents and children who need to choose between paying bills and buying basic school supplies

You can make a gift to our school supplies fund by going to our website. Just write “school supplies” in the comments box.
If you would like to purchase school supplies yourself and have them sent to the Mission, you can find the lists for grades K through 5 here. If you make that purchase through Amazon Smile and select the Mission as your charity, a portion of your purchase price will go to the Mission as well!
Any excess funds will be used by the Mission’s emergency assistance program.
