It may not seem like it, but the thirtieth General Synod of the United Church of Christ is just around the corner! Taking place every two years, General Synod is a time when thousands of members of the United Church of Christ come together for formal church witness, inspirational worship, and fellowship with friends and colleagues.
As a community ministry of the United Church of Christ, Back Bay Mission will be there!
There will be a shrimp boil at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Cleveland from 6pm to 8pm on June 25th! Sixty tickets will be available for people attending Synod. Ticket sales will open on May 17. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information!
We will have a booth in the exhibit hall from the time it opens on June 26th until it closes on June 30th.
Church Relations Associate Christopher Marlin-Warfield will present a workshop titled “Time Marches On: The Long Road of Disaster Recovery” on June 27th during the 3pm workshop sessions.
Executive Director Alice Graham, Associate for Housing Recovery and Volunteer Programs Craig Steenkamp, and Church Relations Associate Christopher Marlin-Warfield, as well as many volunteers and friends of the Mission, will be present!
