By March 13, 2014No Comments

Back Bay Mission’s newest affordable housing project for homeless veterans is now underway!

The Mission broke ground on HomePort II on March 12, 2014. HomePort II is the second home that the Mission has build to address homelessness among veterans in South MS. The Mission’s first home for homeless disabled veterans – HomePort I – opened in 2013.

HomePort II is a permanent supportive housing project and is a result of both federal and local collaborations between Back Bay Mission, The Home Consortium of Biloxi and Gulfport, Biloxi Housing Authority, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Department of Veterans Affairs, The Home Depot Foundation, and Keesler Federal Credit Union.

Back Bay Mission is proud to provide affordable, safe and dignified housing opportunities and services for low and moderate income residents of South MS.
