Back Bay Mission is pleased to welcome Mr. Charles E. Brown as our interim Executive Director.
“I am excited and look forward to this new and challenging work,” said Mr. Brown, “Back Bay Mission has had a special place in my heart since I first came here in 2007 to work in repairing some of the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.”
Mr. Brown has more than 30 years of experience in the corporate, non-profit and religious communities, including service as the pastor of Auburn Community United Church of Christ, Executive Director of the Euclid Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Minister for African American Relations for the United Church of Christ and Executive Director of the Union Miles Development Corporation.
“Narrowing the field to one person was a challenge,” said Mrs. Dale Bonds, President of the Mission’s Board of Directors, “We are extremely pleased with our final selection and we know that Charles will be a tremendous asset to Back Bay Mission and the community it serves.”
Mr. Brown began serving as Interim Executive Director on January 1, 2014.
