“Everyone I meet who experiences Back Bay Mission has their life changed for the better. They are an agent of God’s love fighting poverty and racism with love and compassion.”
Rev. Dr. John DorhauerGeneral Minister & President UCC
"When I came to visit Back Bay Mission, I was immediately immersed in the impact BBM has on the wider church! Teams were present from Florida and Iowa, who were working together to repair a damaged home. Others were there from Georgia to work on a separate project. And everyone, from those teams to the staff, was excited and focused on the transformative work that they do. BBM Is truly the UCC’s Gulf Coast gem and a model of ministry with the community for us to celebrate and learn from!"
Rev. Phil HodsonConference Minister, South Central Conference, United Church of Christ
"I feel that Back Bay Mission provides an integral service to our community by helping those in need get back on their feet, not just by helping through the current challenges but also by providing a path to self-sufficiency. BBM transforms lives for the better and I am very proud to be associated with this organization and the work they do. "

“Back Bay Mission have been a blessing to me and my family. Ms. Elizabeth has gone above and beyond for my family. Back Bay Mission is on outstanding non-profit organization. My husband recently was hospitalized for 16 days due to COVID-19 and double Pneumonia. Back Bay Mission stepped in and helped me every way possible, from rental assistance, food pantry to utility assistance. I honor the organization in so many ways. Back Bay Mission and staff is God sent. I look back over the last 6 months and I honestly don’t know how I could have made it without them. I am truly thankful for Back Bay Mission. They have touched my life and the life of so many people. I pray that God continues to bless the staff at Back Bay Mission along with everyone that is in need.”

"I have been fortunate to work with Back Bay Mission for the last 4 years and witnessed what incredible
work they are involved in that touch so many lives in our community. Through a partnership with The First Bank, they have received many grants to assist with housing rehabilitation for eligible homeowners (low-income families, seniors, and those with disabilities) to improve their quality of life.
Back Bay Mission has many programs that are geared to providing the tools necessary for participants to become self- sustainable. I especially love the fact that they provide mentoring and support from the mission staff and the community volunteers to assist their clients in meeting their goals. "
