Back Bay Mission held its first-ever Townhall on Homelessness on Wednesday, September 14th at our Micah Day Center. This was a free, open-to-the-public forum that was created in hopes of beginning the conversation around this complex community issue.

Overall, it was a positive experience and we hope to hold another one, even bigger & more accommodating, with the intent to continue the conversation. Homelessness is a community issue and will require many to act in order to begin to make tangible change. It is our hope to make these into quarterly events and to continue to act as a sounding board for any and everyone in our community to share their experiences and become part of the solution.

We are also thankful to WLOX News for covering the event and helping get the word out to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. To checkout their recap of the event, please visit their website or visit us on Facebook!
